When to Create a Contract in PSClient
A contact should be created in PSC only after the Sales Opportunity in HubSpot reaches the "Ready for Contract in PSC" deal stage
Required Rules
Do not create a contact in PSClient unless the deal is in Ready for Contract in PSC.
ALL fields in the Demographic Playbook are complete before proceeding with the contract in PSC
PSClient should only be used when the buyer is ready for contract processing.
When the deal reaches Ready for Contract in PSC, the Sales Manager will receive an email with the buyer information needed for PSClient.
The email subject is: Contract Ready: Last Name, First Name | Communtiy
Why This Matters
Creating the contact too early can cause confusion and may prevent the HubSpot and PSClient records from matching correctly.
Keeping the HubSpot deal stage updated also helps the team understand the current status of each buyer and what needs to happen next.
Important Email Address Rule
When creating the contact in PSClient, use the same buyer email address that is listed on the HubSpot contact record.
If the email address in HubSpot is wrong, update it in HubSpot before creating the contact in PSClient.
Summary
Move your HubSpot deals to the correct stage as the buyer moves through the sales process.
Only create the contact in PSClient when the deal is in Ready for Contract in PSC.
If the buyer is no longer moving forward, move the deal to No Deal/Lost and complete the required lost reason fields.
