# Create an appointment for a Community Manager

## Use this process when a new Community Manager opportunity is confirmed and ready to be tracked in HubSpot. This creates a deal tied to the correct contact and pipeline for reporting and follow-up.

**Use this guide to schedule a meeting with a Community Manager directly from a contact record in HubSpot. Following these steps ensures the meeting is logged correctly, a deal is created in the Appointment Set stage, and you are assigned as the eLead owner.**

**1. ⚠️ Important: Do not change the contact owner. Changing the contact owner will break automated deal creation and eLead assignment triggered by this workflow.**

**2. Open the contact record and select the Meetings tab.**

**Select 'Meetings' on the desired contact**

**3. Click the "Schedule a meeting" button on the Meetings tab.**

**4. From the dropdown, select the Community Manager you wish to schedule the meeting with. This opens their calendar so you can choose an available date and time.**

**5. Enter the meeting details (date, time, meeting type, and location, etc).**

**(Optional: add internal notes and reminder emails.)**

**Note: Ensure the meeting location is accurate, as it is visible to the prospect.**

**6. Click the "Schedule meeting" button.

This will automatically:  
\- Schedule the meeting and block the selected time    
\- Create a deal in the Appointment Set stage    
\- Assign you as the eLead owner**

**Note: After scheduling, verify the new deal appears in your pipeline under the Appointment Set stage and confirm the eLead owner assignment is correct before contacting the prospect.**
